Is anyone actively involved in the ongoing issue of shoreline access rights by the public? This important topic should be of deep interest for sea kayakers.

Hi Cam--
I'm very interested in this issue. As far as I can tell, the Coastal Resources Center's guide is the most recent publication that lays out the access points, although RI Sea Grant has a 2016 interactive app described as a "digital update." URI has hosted a couple of webinars recently and there's a third one coming up (I don't know when). Also, I just finished reading about the Sapowet permit applications...yikes. Did you have any specific actions in mind? If so, let me know if I can help. --Caryl
