And there are days when I wish for lighter AND tougher boats. A Goldilocks kayak if you will. Alas, we are not there yet. I still hope for someone with materials expertise to take the Carbon/Kevlar concept one step further.

That kayak sounds like a fun play boat...good for surfing and rock gardening .
