Summer Paddles Posted

Paddles for the next 3 months have been posted on the Sea Kayak Calendar
http://www.rickaseakayaking.org/forum2/calendar.php
Thanks to Eric for posting these and thanks to all who volunteered to lead trips. There are some open weekend days - if you would like to lead a summer trip, please email me (rickaseakayak@gmail.com).  We may also fill in these spaces with paddles posted on the message board. We encourage people available for mid-week paddling to coordinate with each other.

Before joining a trip, Please review Paddling Basics http://www.rickaseakayaking.org/basics.htm and Trip Levels http://www.rickaseakayaking.org/levels.htm
Before you leave for a trip, always check for Changes and Cancellations on the message board, since weather and sea conditions may affect plans.

Looking forward to seeing you on the water!

Hi Brenda!
The calendar failed to list Mike H.'s and my trip out of Potter's Cove on June 18th.

Hi Tony,
I need a refresher, where is Potter's Cove located?
Are there any directions or an address I can GPS ?

It is just east of the Newport Bridge Toll Plaza. As a GPS address, use:    100 Freebody Dr., Jamestown, R.I.

Hi,

I'm interested in joining some of your paddles listed on the calendar. However, I don't see any information about times or exact locations to meet. Maybe I missed something? If not, can someone please let me know when and where this information is posted? Thanks!

Denise, You will find two launch items on the menu on the homepage . One is Mike K.'s launch info.
The other just says kayak launches.
As far a time for launching, It is usually posted before each trip under Paddles. I think we will change that and have it available on the calendar .
Thanks for pointing it out. This weekend's level 2 trip at Seapowet Rick and I plan to launch at 10. People generally come 30-45 minutes before the launch time to get their boats ready and change clothes or whatever. We help each other get our boats off our roofs.
