RICKA will be offering pool practice sessions March 6, March 27, and April 17 at the South County YMCA. These sessions are free to RICKA members and are a great opportunity to sharpen your rolling and rescue skills, and perhaps meet some like-minded paddlers. Access to the pool starts at 1;00pm and ends promptly at 3:00pm. Arrive early to check-in and change. Boats must be clean and free of sand, seaweed and other debris. All participants must sign an ACA waiver for insurance purposes – include your ACA member number if you have one. All participants must also provide a driver’s license, which will be copied and retained by the YMCA. This is required since there is a daycare on site. Please contact Rich Coupland at rlcoupland@msn.com to co firm you attendance. space is limited.
The South County YMCA is located at 65 Broad Rock Road, Peace Dale RI 02883. Upon entering the parking lot, the pool entrance is to the left of the main entrance.

Thanks, Brenda. This is very welcome news. I intend to come on 3/16.
My problem with replying to "Rich" is that I don't know how to contact him. Referring to the "Member List," I find that names are seldom used, most often obscure acronyms or emails. Don't you agree that this should be improved for ease of use?
I located one "Rich" and send an affirmative reply, hoping this is the correct destination.

High Everyone - a couple of updates:
MOST IMPORTANT - The date of the first rolling session has been moved back a week - to 13 March.
(Please don't show up this Sunday!)
The pool doors will open for kayaks at 1 pm, but plan to arrive early, check in, and change into your suit.
If you have an ACA membership number, please bring it with you.
We don't supply kayaks. Please bring your own immaculately clean kayak!
