Gooseberry Neck (Mass) Sat 10/18 Level 2+
#1
This is a Level 2+ paddle, launching from the east beach on Gooseberry Island (Mass) and heading east toward Allen's Pond, possibly paddling into the pond depending on conditions.  From there we can paddle around Slocums Neck to Demarest Lloyd State Park.

Launch time 10 am.

Level 2+ because there will be some long-period swell crossing open water, and distance is about 9-10 miles.

Water temps are lower 60s, with air temps in the high 50s.  Insulating apparel is strongly recommended (wetsuit, hydroskin, drysuit)

To find it on Google Maps, search for Gooseberry Island, Westport, Mass.

Please RSVP so we know if we have enough people (3 minimum).

Yeah, I'm in. I used to windsurf at the spot quite often back in the '80s; gosh that's a long time ago. It will be fun to go back.

Hi Ken - the paddle was last weekend (Oct 18th per the header).  Sorry to miss you.  Hope to see you on the water soon!

Well darn, thanks for the notice. I was under the weather last weekend so I didn't even check the board for new trips. When I checked it I didn't noticed the date so I thought it was new.
