The Intro to Level 3 Paddling is scheduled for this Sunday, September 7 from the URI Bay Campus. Please plan to arrive in time for a 10 AM launch. The purpose of this paddle is to introduce paddlers to Level 3 paddling through group discussion, assessment of paddlers' prior experience and goals, and gentle exposure to Level 3 waves, wind, and features. We will take it slow and will endeavor to maintain a healthy balance between fun, learning, and safety! If you are interested in rock play, please bring a helmet.
The current marine forecast is 5 - 10 kt northerly winds. The air temperature should be in the mid to upper 60's, and the water temperature should be slightly warmer than that. There may be some light rain, but, as we like to say, kayaking is a water sport! That said, please dress appropriately.
If you are planning to join us, please RSVP to rickbrooksri@gmail.com.
Hope to see you on the water!
Rick Brooks & John Davenport
