Zeeks Creek / Dutch Harbor access with parking Jamestown
#1
FYI; I spoke with a Jamestown police officer today.  He said that the old bait shop at 194 North Road, Jamestown is now owned by the State of RI.  therefore you can park there and explore the creek.  I hope to go there and tour Dutch Harbor, Fort Getty, Dutch island etc.  Google 194 North Rd, Jamestown.
Also, he said that parking is allowed at the access to Sheffield Cove (south end of Dutch Harbor, near Beavertail Road) at the end of Maple Avenue, Jamestown.  There is a kayak and small boat rack there.  resident sticker required to leave a boat there.  easy access, nice protected beach.  Map 42 Marine Ave, Jamestown, look west to the end of Maple Avenue.

I would like to do this paddle.

Hi Leigh,

The stream from the Zeke's Creek shack westward out to the bay is not passable during low tide...if you plan on launching from the shack,  your launch time should be such that the middle (half-way point) of your paddle is near low tide. This way, the current will be with you coming and going, and you will have enough depth-of-water.
