This is a joint flatwater/sea kayak trip that coincides with the Blessing of the Fleet in Galilee. We launch from the public boat launch at Marina Park, paddle through Upper Point Judith Pond, out the Narrows and down Point Judith Pond to Galilee. We should arrive in Galilee at around noon, which will allow us to see the ships coming through the Breachway for the Blessing of the Fleet. We usually stop for lunch at Dog Beach across from Galilee, but it may be too busy. If it is, we will stop of at the Galilee Boat Ramp before paddling back.

Trip is around 8-miles. It gets windy in the afternoon and there will be lots of boat traffic. Bring a lunch.

Hi all - looks like it is going to be a nice day. See you at Marina Park at 10:00 for a 10:30 launch. We will be using the hand carried boat ramp next to the Point Judith Yacht Club.

In general that means loading all kayaks across the street in either East or West parking lots and carting them across the on/off ramp intersection to the "kayak" ramp. So paddlers should bring their carts of they have one.

Yes - thanks Mike. It's a beautiful day on Point Judith Pond. A little hazy at the moment, but it will burn off. Slight wind from the north, which will probably switch to the south this afternoon. High tide around 10:00, so it will be going out as we paddle. See you later.
