Hello, my husband and I are interested and bought kayaks, but need some lessons. We want to be safe and efficient on the water. Can anybody recommend someone to us please? Thank you very much. Sorry if this is the wrong thread. I am not computer savy.

All these places offer instruction. You can also take advantage of our Wed. evening workshops at URI Bay Campus.

Thank you for all your help. I need recommendations on spray skirts. What type of materials and what size? We have the Sitka ST and Sitka LT. We probably will not be paddling when it starts to get cold. If that helps.
Recommendations on waterproof headlights and handheld floating walkie talkies. Is that what they them? lol

I recommend contacting your local kayak shop for your spray skirt info. As for hand held marine radios ( vhf ) , I recommend West Marine.
They have plenty to choose from. In the future I would recommend posting this question under Coffee Hour section.
Good luck...

For instruction I would also recommend - Brandon at
https://www.farmcoastseakayak.com/. He is great person to work with - he is out of the Westport MA area. I second Jon's recommendation of the sessions at URI Bay Campus.
For one on one or one on two you really need to try different people til you find someone you are comfortable with.
Hoping to see you in July at URI
