Greetings all,
If I have any regrets, it's I wish I had discovered sea kayaking a decade or so earlier than I did. If my memory is correct, I was 61 when I joined RICKA and cherish the the memories of group paddles, as well as paddling weekdays with friends in the years since.
My wife and I have bought a home in rural CT and will move there in less than 2 weeks. At the same time, we're in the process of selling our RI house near Pawtuxet Village.
This means that I'll probably not be able to participate in weekend paddles with a 9:00 a.m. or earlier put-ins. However, later off-season put ins might work for me. Also, I still plan to paddle weekdays on Narragansett Bay and would consider Buzzards Bay. If anyone is interested in a weekday paddle, perhaps we can work something out. In the interim, I'll be living close to several lakes in CT and plan to take advantage of exploring them on the water.
So, this is more of an au revoir instead of an adieu. I look forward to paddling with you in the future, but not as often as I'd prefer.
Best regards,
Fred
