Hi everyone,
It looks like Saturday will be a washout, so I am changing the paddle to Sunday (May 21st).
the weather forecast for Sunday is for rain ending by 0800, but winds will be 14 mph with gusts to 20 mph through the day.
I edited to post and am adding this reply to change the paddle date and put-in location.
The new put-in will be at the head of the Westport River. Use "5 Drift Road, Westport, MA" for GPS. Park along the road and carry down to the put-in by the lawn.
I have been asked what the paddle level will be for this paddle. Normally, this stretch of river is a level 2 paddle. It will be quite breezy, but we will get some protection from the shoreline. If you are a level 2 paddler than can some handle wind you should be OK.
The water temp is still be in the low 50s, and it will be windy. please dress accordingly.
Please call me if you have questions.
