RICKA Picnic Sea Kayak Paddle, NK Town Beach, 9/24 - Rich C. - 09-14-2023

Coordinator: Rich Coupland
Location: NK Town Beach, Beach Street, North Kingstown
Time: Arrive at 0930 for a 10:00 launch
This will be a touring paddle past Fox Island and Rome Point to the Plum Point Lighthouse and back, about 7 miles (slightly longer than level 2). Bring a snack to eat on the way. The RICKA Picnic will be at the Cold Spring Community Center, adjacent to the beach.
The sign-up date for the picnic has passed (sorry about that!). You can still join in, just bring your own lunch.
Please RSVP so I can get an idea how many people will be there.

I know that area pretty well and would like to do the L2+ paddle for the picnic. It's been an odd year but sometimes by endish September the harbor seals are already on the ledge off Rome Point. That would be fun !

Thanks for your replies.
Sunday looks to be both rainy and very windy so it's very doubtful there will be a paddle. However, we do have an indoor venue there, so the "picnic" will go on rain or shine. I hope to see you there!
