Greetings all,

Am I the only person who has posted items for sale and the first "nibble" I receive is from a possible scammer? The "buyer's" spiel is always the same: someone who won't reveal their location or say they can view the item in person, but offers to pay for what you're selling by check or by another method, such as Zelle. They then say they'll send someone to pick it up after you receive payment.

As the saying goes, caveat emptor. When in doubt, say no. I just did and blocked the sender.

Fred,

Thanks for this heads-up. The range of online scams seems to be endless!

All the best,
Rich C.
No not the only one.  I posted a kayak for sale on Paddling.com and got several scams.  Think they were from the same scammer.  Seems that kayak would be picked up my his "agent".
