Potters Cove Paddle - Saturday, July 6th.
« on: July 02, 2019, 06:57:04 PM »

I've had a couple of requests for clarification on where the put-in is for this paddle, so here goes:

1. In Google Maps search for "2 Freebody Dr, Jamestown, RI 02835" AKA the Jamestown Highway Department. I'm not sure why the marker is there, since there is no building, but it is right at the put-in. If you look at the satellite view you will see the parking area and steps to the beach.

2. From Rt 138 Eastbound, take the last exit before the Newport Bridge, turn left under the highway, then first right onto Freebody Drive. The put-in is 100 yards ahead on your left.

3. If you are crossing the Newport bridge, go through the far-right gate at the toll (NOT the high speed lane!), then take the first exit immediately on your right. Circle to your right (as if you were going under the highway), then left onto Freebody drive (before the underpass).

See you there!
Rich.
