Greenland kayaking training
« on: May 22, 2017, 11:49:49 AM »

After kayaking for 15 years with a Perception Eclipse, last summer I purchased a lightweight Greenland style kayak from a builder in Michigan (Betsy Bay Kayak).
It has turned out to be a much more different paddling experience than I had anticipated.
I am looking for someone who may be a certified trainer in Greenland kayaking to get some lessons.
Please contact me at kenpariseau@verizon.net.
Thank you

Talk to Carl & Sam Ladd at Osprey Sea & Surf Adventures.  They sponsor Cheri & Turner at least a couple times a year.  www.ospreyseakayak.com  508-636-0300

If you want to get into Greenland kayaking and paddling I would suggest the Hudson River Greenland Festival.
https://www.hrgf.org/
and on Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/HudsonRiverGreenlandFestival/

I have attended for 3 years and find it a great experience, not that I'm getting much better.  I have a true Greenland Kayak that I made at Turner Wilson's class and it indeed is a different experience to paddle. I also have made many Greenland paddles.
Checking I see that there still are openings at the Hudson River Greenland Festival.
