When beholding the tranquil beauty and brilliancy of the ocean's skin, one forgets the tiger heart that pants beneath it; and would not willingly remember that this velvet paw but conceals a remorseless fang. - Herman Melville

Sunday July 3d Paddle is on, BUT...
« on: July 02, 2016, 12:35:37 PM »

   Be aware of the following:

             1. Afternoon winds will be more toward Level 4 than Level 3.
             2. Parking is a concern, so even though the launch time is 10am, it is wise to arrive early.
             3. There may be a lot of traffic on the Newport Bridge.
             4. Bring helmets if you plan to go into the rocks.
             5. Bring a lunch.
             6. Remember, it's King's Beach on Ocean Drive (NOT King's Park, which is on Wellington Ave)
                                        See you there!        Tony

On our way, hoping for an ETA of 0915.

Thank You All!!!! It was a great day even my resuces. I learned and had fun so much. Thanks Tony for the Video on you tube. I want to thanked and praise Josko. I was great to paddle and learned what rocks to go into and what not to attempt. All Tim and Tony for helping me get out of danger. One note my boat is being fixed. That better then anyone Person being fixed or hurt. So Thanks again to all. It was a learning experience.
