extra launch site needed
« on: September 07, 2010, 10:15:57 AM »

Hey Mike,

I posted a paddle yesterday and realized it was not on your fabulous list of put ins.
It's called by the locals "The Landing" also " Town Landing ".
It's good for launching small boats for surfing. It's off Long Pasture Rd. in Little Compton.
If you could add it, that would be great.

That location is not a public option, and could be a problem for all concerned if it is listed as a launch site. The thread below will explain in detail, and I'm sure the folks at Osprey can tell you more:

Unfortunately that spot is marked "Little Compton Town Residents Only." The police are taking that VERY seriously- as in "criminal trespass". Sorry to burst that bubble. Very difficult to access the ocean in that area. Sakonnet harbor and South Shore beach are basically the only choices.
