Hello, I'm a newbie here so I ask for your patience!  Can someone tell me how I find the details on a scheduled paddle?  I see that there is a moonlight paddle scheduled for Sept 4th but I can't find any of the details (launch site and time).  Any help is greatly appreciated!  It's sort of weird that the different parts of the site are disconnected.

Newbie has a point there.  I can't even find where it's posted!

Hi Joyce,

As of yet, I don't believe the full moon paddle has been officially posted. I put out a query in the "general discussion" section last week to see if there was any interest in the paddle for this Friday evening. I've heard from three people beside myself and you who might be interested. If the weather forecast for Friday still looks good by Wednesday evening, I'll probably post it then - either on the calendar as a RICKA paddle or as a Show and Go. If we go, we'll launch from the Bay Campus at 6:30? 7:00? and paddle north to Rome Point. If the message board is confusing you  Huh, feel welcome to call me at 789-1335.

Thanks so much for the info.  I would definitely join this paddle if it is still on.  With some luck, the weather will be as lovely as last night - gorgeous moon, clear skies, crisp weather.  Keep us posted!  Best, Joyce

I had expected to come home and see a forecast of clear skies for Friday and fully expected to say the Full Moon Paddle was a definite "go". But although the forecast calls for possible rain earlier in the day and possible clouds in the evening, I think I'll still head over to the Bay Campus for a 6:30PM launch. We can paddle until dusk and then decide whether it will be cloudless (i.e. light) enough to continue. People should have lights for their boats or at least for their PFDs. The lights shouldn't be too bright or you'll just blind the other paddlers. They're just to let other watercraft know you're there.

The group so far will possibly be Joyce, Rick, Bob, Peter, and me. This is a "show and go paddle".
