At the RICKA planning party in April, I suggested that we circumnavigate Cape Ann in Gloucester, MA again. I was put down as the leader temporarily until we could find someone else to lead who knows the area better (I've only done this paddle once before).  It's a long trip (almost 20 miles) and must be done on August 1 because that's the only weekend summer day when the tides are running at the right times to make it around. Now I may not even be able to go on that day. So - is there someone else who would like to lead this trip?

Since there are no leaders for the Cape Ann circumnavigation on August 1st, I guess we'll have to cancel it. If someone wants to step up to the plate, go for it. Otherwise, we can decide if we want to schedule a trip for the Fall. Thanks!

I'd like to go on the paddle if the tides are right for that day.

I don't remember the navigation being difficult. Keep the land on the right until you get into Gloucester Harbor. Finding the cut was the hardest part navigationwise.

When we did it before we took our time and a break for lunch. We didn't do it as a race practice or anything.

I am not sure I want to lead but I could coordinate I guess.

It's best to cancel.

I can'y commit to doing it.
