Personal question...

Does anybody get athlete's foot wearing neoprene booties in the summer?
I 've bought a pair of Astral water shoes that breathe way better than neoprene but
they don't fit in my Cetus LV . I need to try them in the Aires. Just wondering if I'm
the only one dealing with it.

Do you wear socks with your neoprene booties? Years ago some WW folks told me that if you don’t wear socks then soon your booties will be quite ripe from the oils on your feet. All I know for sure is I’ve always worn socks with any type of closed shoe when I paddle - and I’ve never had any problems.

To prevent funk, the key is to not let them sit.  I rinse my wetshoes immediately, hang till they stop dripping, then put them on my boot dryer or out in the sun.  I also hang things above the portable dehumidifier in my basement that has a pretty strong exhaust fan.

If they're funky, try
AquaSeal Wetsuit and Drysuit Shampoo (or any shampoo, really)
Vinegar (cleaning vinegar is amazing)
McNett Mirazyme
